The London Chapter of the Irish Georgian Society has been working hard to raise awareness of Ireland's architecural heritage since 1971. Membership is made up of people with a passion for historic buildings, gardens and landscapes and is open to all. Events are organised throughout the year with lectures related to Irish architecture and the decorative arts and tours organised both in England and in Ireland.

The Society has active chapters in Cork, Limerick, and Birr that organise events for local members and nacent chapters in Belfast and Sligo. Events are organised by these chapters at a local level which include informative lectures on Ireland's architectural heritage and its historic gardens and landscapes. Architectural tours to private historic houses and public buildings of note are also held throughout the year by these chapters.
