Conservation Outreach
Conserving Your Dublin Townhouse
The Irish Georgian Society has assembled a team of leading conservation experts to deliver a conservation course on the understanding and care of Dublin's historic houses. The Course, for which a certificate of attendance will be issued, comprises 12 lunchtime lectures.
Aimed at those with an interest in Dublin's historic houses, the course will be relevant to owners of all periods and types of houses, from the modest Edwardian artisan dwellings to the substantial red bricks of the Victorian suburbs and the fine townhouses of our Georgian city squares. The course will provide an understanding and appreciation of the significance of every aspect of Dublin's historic houses and practical information on their care and conservation.
Lectures, which will start on Tuesday 2nd February 2010 (1pm -2pm) and continue for 12 weeks, will take place in the Helen Roe Theatre, RSAI, 63 Merrion Square, Dublin 2.
It is possible to attend all, one or as many of the lectures as you wish. The lectures are priced at €10 (€5 for fulltime students with card), which you may pay at the door or book in advance for a special price of €100 (€50 for fulltime students with card) for all 12 lectures.
This is an action of the Irish Georgian Society's Conservation Outreach Programme and has been made possible through the support from the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government's Environment Fund.
