Scholarship & Publication

The promotion of scholarship has always been of special importance to the Society and today is promoted through our journal Irish Architectural and Decorative Studies which is published annually. It is the only periodical dedicated to publishing new research on Ireland's architects, craftsmen, artists, garden designers and patrons and is distributed on an international level. In addition to our Journal, the Society’s Desmond Guinness Scholarship is awarded annually to assist new scholars in their studies in the fields of architecture and the decorative arts.
