Aim Of The Catalogue

The Irish Georgian Society Catalogue of Irish Theses and Dissertations Relating to Architecture and the Allied Arts is conceived as an academic resource tool. It provides a centralised database of Irish theses and dissertations relating to architecture and the allied arts, which have been submitted as part of an academic qualification awarded on the island of Ireland.

The catalogue adheres to the Irish Georgian Society's stated aim, namely to encourage an interest in and to promote the preservation of architecture and the allied arts. Education is one of the principle ways through which the Society achieves this aim. The catalogue compliments the Society's other educational actions, in particular the Desmond Guinness Scholarship, the Irish Architectural and Decorative Studies – Journal of the Irish Georgian Society, as well as the Society's annual programme of lectures, walking tours, trips abroad, conferences and seminars.
There is no fee for consulting the Irish Georgian Society Catalogue of Irish Theses and Dissertations Relating to Architecture and the Allied Arts but if you have found it a useful research tool the Irish Georgian Society would be grateful if you join our Society.
