Lime Works is an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand and easy-to-use guide to the many uses of lime in building, including repairs of historic structures and new buildings.

A traditional building material used throughout the island for many hundreds of years, lime was almost abandoned during the latter part of the twentieth century in favour of mortars and plasters made from cement. As its practical and aesthetic advantages became more widely recognised, recent years have witnessed a revival in its appreciation and use.
