Afternoon Trip to Lambay Island

15.07.2017, 14:00 P.M.

The group will be given a tour of the castle which was remodelled by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the Honourable Cecil Baring, later the 3rd Lord Revelstoke. Members will also have a chance to see the family chapel with a portico of tapering stone columns (also added by Lutyens) and a barrel vaulted ceiling. Inside are various religious symbols and artefacts made by members of the family, including artist Patrick Pollen. Places for this tour are limited to 12 people due to boat size restrictions. Members are advised to dress for outdoors. There will be no refreshments offered on the island. This tour is restricted to members only.
