Sunday 11 June, 2017
On 11 June 2017, you are invited to join the Limerick Chapter of the Irish Georgian Society on a tour to Doneraile, Co. Cork.
We will visit St Mary’s Church, the spire of which gave its name to the term ‘steeplechasing’ in the 18th century. After this we will take in Creagh House, a townhouse built in 1837, with important literary and historical connections. The day will finish with a guided tour of Doneraile Park, which features a house dating to the 17th century on 400 acres of gardens, park, and ancient woodland.
We are delighted to announce that we have been granted once-off special permission to enter Doneraile Court! Don't miss this opportunity to see the interior of this important house, and book your place below.
Meet outside No. 1 Pery Square Hotel, Limerick at 10am.
Carpooling encouraged. It should take about an hour to drive to Doneraile.
Ticket Price: €35 per person
