Follies Trust Study days 21st Oct at City Assembly House, Dublin & 22nd Oct site visit to Kilbixy,

The Follies Trust in partnership with the Irish Georgian Society and with funding from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage is undertaking two events – a study day followed by a site visit – to raise awareness and increase understanding of the Malone mausoleum within the context of the Early Christian site at Kilbixy, Co. Westmeath.

14.30 - 14.50: From Ballynahown to Baronston, the Malone family of Kilbixy (Kevin V. Mulligan)
14.50 - 15.30: James Wyatt (1746-1813) and Kilbixy, Ballynacarrigy, Co. Westmeath: a reflection on context and influence (Lynda Mulvin)
15.30 - 16.00: The restoration of the Darnley mausoleum, Cobham, Kent (Jamie Coath)
16.00 - 16.30: The survey of the Malone mausoleum, Kilbixy 2022 (Richard McLoughlin)

12.20 - 12.40: Tour of the Malone Mausoleum and Leper Hospital, Kilbixy (Richard McLoughlin)

COST FOR STUDY DAYS
€25 for 2 days or €15 for 1 day
Students: €20 for 2 days or €10 for 1 day
All funds go towards works at the Malone mausoleum.
