IGS London Christmas Dinner
28th November 2025, Royal Air Force Club, 128 Piccadilly, W1J 7PY

Booking for the IGS London annual Christmas Dinner & Fundraising Auction is now open!

This year’s dinner will be held at the Royal Air Force Club, a private members’ club founded in 1918 as a tribute to the gallantry of the men and women of the Royal Air Force. Located in the heart of Mayfair overlooking Green Park, the Club’s elegant interiors — featuring its celebrated dining room and fine period detailing — offer the perfect setting for this festive occasion.

The evening will begin with guests arriving from 6.00pm-6.30pm, followed by a three-course dinner with wine served from 7.15pm in the dining room.

After dinner, Benedict Ryan and Shane Jocelyn of the Young Irish Georgians will conduct the fundraising auction in support of the IGS Conservation Grants Scheme, which helps fund the restoration of architecturally significant buildings in Ireland.
If you would like to contribute a prize to this year’s auction, please email benedict@charlescooper.uk.

Guest speaker for the evening will be Tim Knox, Director of the Royal Collection.

Fundraising auction

Every year, the auction held at the IGS London Christmas Dinner raises funds for the Irish Georgian Society's Conservation Grants Programme. Since 2014, IGS London has contributed over €350,000 for this programme with grants given for essential works to heritage buildings throughout Ireland, ranging from country and town houses, to churches, follies and garden buildings.

This year's auction presents a fantastic selection of lots including vouchers for the very finest hotels in Ireland, a private chef for a special occasion, a four course dinner, Irish whiskeys, silver bullion, a gilding tutorial with wine, and more! The auction catalogue is available to download here and, if you are not attending and wish to secure an auction item, a bidding form is available here.

The bidding form should be returned to: londonchapter@igs.ie no later than 3pm on Friday 28th November. Any bids received after this point will not be accepted.

If your bid wins on the night, a member of the IGS London committee will contact you in the days following. If postage is required, this will be quoted to you and charged in addition to the item being posted. Submitting a bid in this form requires you to complete the purchase if successful.
