Visit to a Private Georgian House in Kennington, 5pm, Thursday 16th October
Join us for an exclusive visit to a Georgian townhouse in Kennington which has been a recipient of the prestigious Georgian Group Architectural Awards. Its owner (an IGS member) will take us on a guided tour and tell us about the restoration journey and the house's fascinating history. The house was once inhabited by the famous Irishman Dr Barry O'Meara, surgeon to Napoleon Bonaparte on St Helena, and his (possibly also Irish) Navy Agent William Holmes and was the focal point of the 'St Helena Conspiracy. The visit will be rounded off with a champagne and canape reception.
*As numbers are very limited, this visit is restricted to IGS members only*
