Wednesday 24th April – Rathmines Walking Tour with Arran Henderson
A walking tour with Arran Henderson that explores the architecture and social history of Rathmines. The tour will look at the buildings of Carson, Thomas Drew, Frederick Hicks and others. Ecclesiastical, residential, industrial and retail architecture will all be considered, as well as underground rivers, land boundaries, literature, and some modern of political history from the revolutionary period (1913-1923). The tour is a good general introduction, to this fascinating, diverse, distinctive and well-known area of Dublin.
