The Young Irish Georgians are delighted to offer this exclusive behind the scenes tour of the Trinity College campus with Curator and Head of University Art Collections Catherine Giltrap.
This tour will highlight the rich and varied art collections TCD possesses, to understand the challenges and opportunities of displaying a world-class art collection across a living campus and to hear about some of their past, ongoing, and future conservation works. Areas to be included on the tour include the Long Room in the Old Library, Arts Building, Front Square, and the outdoor sculptures.
Our group will meet at 3.00pm for the tour and we are kindly being hosted by the Trinity Foundation for a reception in the Senior Common Room afterwards.
Tickets are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. There are some tickets available for students (with valid ID) and unemployed, email youngirishgeorgians@igs.ie for details.
Profits from ticket sales will be donated equally between our 2023 Heritage Project (St Paul's CoI, Cahir, Co. Tipperary) and the Old Library Redevelopment Project.
