This lecture will explore the topic of Ida Milne’s publication Stacking the Coffins, Influenza, war and revolution in Ireland 1918-1919 (Manchester, Manchester University Press, 2018) Ida Milne is a lecturer in Carlow College, a vice-chair of the Oral History Network of Ireland and a member of the Royal Irish Academy historical sciences committee, and represents the Academy on two international bodies for the history of science, the DUPST, and the IUHPST.
