Victorian Values: philanthropic housing in Dublin and the Dublin Artisans’ Dwelling Company -

The fourth lecture in our Victorian Dublin Revealed series delves into philanthropic housing in Dublin as well as the Dublin Artisans' Dwelling company Our lecturer, Colum O’Riordan, is the Director of the Irish Architectural Archive and author of ‘The Dublin Artisans’ Dwellings Company’ in Irish Architectural & Decorative Studies Volume VII.


This lecture will take place on Tuesday, 22nd October at 6.30pm at the Irish Georgian Society’s City Assembly House, 58 South William Street, Dublin 2. Doors open at 6.00 pm.

Victorian Dublin Revealed: a celebration of the city’s 19th-century architectural legacy, an evening lecture series - Presented by the Irish Georgian Society and Dublin City Council’s Heritage Office and delivered by established academics, authors and conservationist, the lectures will celebrate the rich architectural legacy of the Victorians. The series will delve into the built heritage of the 19th century Dublin, examining its domestic, ecclesiastical, commercial, philanthropic, cultural and infrastructural architecture.
