Visit to Castletown House, with David Sheehan

09.07.2026, 11:00 A.M.

A special visit to Castletown has been arranged for Irish Georgian Society members with David Sheehan, Chair of the Castletown Foundation.

His tour will present an opportunity to see newly presented rooms that will include the recently revamped Tom Conolly Study, a new installation of the Schoor Collection of paintings in the ground floor west Corridor, a rearrangement of The Long Gallery with the re-installation of grotesques and the inclusion of a pair of sofas from the Clements family at Killadoon. The visit will also include the adjoining Pastel Room which has been redecorated to better display the pastel collection, and of particular interest will be the Lady Kildare Room which houses the Corrigan Collection of miniature portraits on loan from the IGS. The tour will be followed by a light lunch.
