Walking tour with Arran Henderson for Bloomsday, 11am, 17th June
How to cross Dublin without passing a pub (a Joycean puzzle!).
A lengthy but highly entertaining walk from the Unitarian Church on Saint Stephens Green, right across Dublin to Stoneybatter and Arbour Hill.
All while seeking to avoid passing a single pub!
Please note that this is not primarily a “Joycean tour” but rather a tour of history and architecture, with a title (and route) inspired by the musing of Leopold Bloom.
On our walk we will discuss churches, quaysides, barracks, prisons, literature, and more.
