Statue to Townsend and Hawkins Street” Exploring an often-neglected corner of Dublin, immediately north of Merrion Square and onwards, a district that contains Denzil Lane, Fenian Street, Cumberland St, Pearse St, Townsend and Hawkins Streets. This may be an area that eludes most casual visitors to Dublin, or those who purely seek out the picturesque. Expect churches and chapels, Victorian school buildings, old stone masons’ yards, vanished hospitals, theatres and music halls.
Meet at the Oscar Wilde statue, near the NW corner of Merrion Square, at 11am sharp.
