Walking tour with Brendan Twomey “In the footsteps of Jonathan Swift”
Jonathan Swift” (Following up the lecture he gave). A guided walk around the area where Swift lived and worked as Dean of St Patrick’s for over thirty years. On the walk we will see and hear about a range of buildings associated with Swift including exteriors of St Patrick’s Cathedral, St Patrick’s Deanery, Marsh’s Library, St Werburgh’s Church, The Cabbage Garden, Long Lane and St Kevin’s Church. There are also the wonderful terracotta plaques with images from scenes in Gulliver’s Travels on the housing in Golden Lane.
