Day Trip to Waterford Museums and Curraghmore

Come and enjoy a trip to Waterford where we will visit the some of the wonderful museums in the Waterford Viking Triangle. We will meet Director Eamonn McEnaney Director of the Waterford Treasures Museums. Our visits will include the recently opened Time Museum where IGS member David Boles will be our guide. David helped set up the Museum and is one of the principal lenders of the clocks therein. We will also visit the Silver Museum which features silver from many of the great houses of Ireland and the Medieval Museum. We will lunch in the Bishop's Palace café and visit the Palace. We will then depart for nearby Curraghmore, historic home of the Marquess of Waterford, where we will visit the house and garden. Travel details and price: Day of trip Saturday 6 August 2022. Depart from Simmonscourt Road, Ballsbridge (outside Clayton Hotel in Finnegan's coach) at 9 am and plan to return to Simmonscourt for 8pm.
Cost including lunch and all entrance fees: members €100. Guests €120. Based on 20 participants. Please note that price includes a surcharge for petrol and depending on circumstances further surcharges may apply. The coach can take 30 so if more than 20 participate the IGS will review the price.
